2022 UCLA LAB SCHOOL COMMUNITY CAMPING - NOVEMBER 11-13

We are pleased to invite you for a weekend of sleeping bags, star-gazing, and friendship building. Please join us for our annual community camping weekend which will take place November 11-13th 2022, in the beautiful mountains of Idyllwild, CA.

We will be at the same campground as prior years, located at 54000 Riverside County Playground Road, Idyllwild, CA 92549.

You are encouraged to take advantage of a pupil-free day Friday (Nov. 11th) to beat the traffic and join us for Friday and Saturday night; but you may register for either night only or, if you prefer, take a day trip or rent a cabin in town! There are so many options! It is a great way to meet new families and establish deeper ties with the fabric that unites our wonderful community.

  1. All families must complete one registration form, found through Shop Lab School (HERE). You do not need to contact the campsite directly to reserve a campsite. The camping committee reserved enough for everyone who wants to join.
  1. Required waivers are available (HERE). One waiver must be completed per attending family. Please complete the waiver whether you are tent camping or have reserved an off-site rental.
  1. The full weekend fee is $25 PER PERSON for all campers ages four-and-up. For example, two parents with two children above the age of 4 would spend $100 total for the weekend. Please note that the reflected cost per-person is required by all attendees, even if you have your own off-site rental. This fee directly helps support the substantial cost of the weekend. If families wish to sponsor a camper, you may do so at check out. Families who seek financial assistance should contact Ileana Barberena at the Business Office (ibarberena@labschool.ucla.edu). 
  1. Many hands make light work and everyone is asked to pitch in and help. Attending campers should visit the sign-up genius link and sign up for one job and/or item per adult of your camping crew. If everyone helps, it will fill quickly!
  1. Please sign up for potluck and bring your favorite camping meal! Saturday dinner will be a community meal. Let's try and coordinate by using the potluck sign-up genius (HERE).
