2024 Flourishing Through Unity - Upper II 3-D Printed Art Tiles

This year, we want to thank Dr. Gumpert and his Digital Design Studio. He worked with Primary, Intermediate, and Upper I and II teachers and students to co-construct inquiry projects to transform their imaginative ideas into tangible works of art. These creations are very significant—they not only ignite creativity but also demonstrate the possibilities of design.

Dr. Gumpert and the Upper II kids partnered to create these amazing tiles for the 2023-2024 yearbook cover as a harmonious floral design that embodies our theme: "Flourishing Through Unity." Just as petals unite to create the beauty of a flower, so too have our students come together to create something greater than themselves—a legacy that reflects their collaborative spirit and growth during their time at our school. The tiles will be available to purchase in a very limited quantity—only 23 sets of 4 tiles each! 

These art pieces represent individuality and collective creativity.  Each tile was crafted using multicolor filament, resulting in a one-of-a-kind art piece. The unique surface textures and colors represent the unique qualities of each student. The hexagonal shape enables it to connect freely to the other tiles and represents the student's ability to connect to each other.   Acquiring a set of 4 tiles will show our appreciation for their process while supporting the amazing work the FSA does for our school.
